COFFEE TIME ROMANCE

Fire In The Ice is the story of a young widow, unwilling to move on with her life and the man who teaches her how to love again. Deedra Marlan, a widow with two small daughters, is content with her life the way it is. She wants to remain faithful to the memory of her late husband, Craig. Her life revolves around her children and the upscale restaurant, the Fireside Inn, which her husband left her. Over the two years since Craig’s death, men have tried to attract the attentions of the lovely young widow, but she spurned them all. As time went on, Deedra was dubbed the “Ice Princess.” No one could melt her heart until a handsome stranger walked into her restaurant.

Josh McKenzie is a cattle rancher with two small boys. One day, he decides to try a new place to eat and goes to the Fireside Inn. Deedra, acting as the hostess, goes to seat the new customer. She is drawn to him immediately, afraid of the feelings he stirs in her. He experiences the same strong feelings and wants to get to know her better. She rejects him and goes back to work. Josh refuses to take no for an answer and promises himself that he will break down her walls and win her heart.

The battle between Deedra and Josh is explosive. Just when he is sure he has won her heart, she puts up new walls to keep him out. Katlyn Stewart explores Deedra’s turbulent history, exposing why she keeps herself safe by refusing to become close to another man. The love scenes between Josh and Deedra are extremely hot. The plot twists will keep the reader turning the pages.

When it looks like they are going to live happily ever after, they are plunged into a heart wrenching life and death battle. I enjoyed the book very much. I want to read more books written by Ms. Stewart. If her other books are as satisfying as this one, I am in for an enjoyable reading experience.
